    Good ideas. Some other things to think about for groups are:
    Recovery gear
    Tools
    Mechanical ability
    Spare parts


    Only a few people need these things but always good to have at plan. Or people with HAM radios :D.

    bOb is there a moab travel thread so we can start arranging convoys to get there and back?
    I realize that it may be too soon for some but it maybe a good idea to start planning now.

    Depends I think on what is required of the permit. Sometimes regardless of how responsible people are the government just want to make sure the area stays clean.
