Tacoma Mods: How Much Have You Spent?

they had to cut away my inner grille and other junk... ended up taking them 7 hours so i could have been charged $600 but idk i should have done it myself but i was unsure of my mechanical skills and wimped out so idk its in the past. i learned a lesson lol

 

That's why I check here. 99% of the time there is a write up or how to on just about everything. Before joining this site I would have paid for a lift, and had it installed but these bastards on here talked me in to it. Best decision I've made.

 

yea had i known of this site at that time i wouldnt have even bought that grillie and def would have installed it myself. this site holds a lot of knowledge about our trucks

Just did a running total of all the items I've added to my truck since I bought it in May 2012 for insurance purposes.
Grand total is $5357.00 not including any installation, shipping, or maintenance charges. Not to mention I haven't even finished my front suspension/armor/skids and lockers. I seriously have a problem.

I have put just over 6K into it, just don't feel like making a list...I'm hella lazy right now

 

I'm at about 7K and still plan on buying a front plate bumper, winch and skid plates.

If I add it up I know it's a little over 15k in the past year alone

 

I lost track but a guy wrote an article in 2011 summarizing what it would cost to replicate what I've done to the Tacoma. I've actually added tons of new mods since this was written.

At one time about 200 for my air intake. going to drop a stack on mid travel in December.

 

I've never calculated all that I've put into my truck because, honestly, I don't wanna know! lol But a friend actually figured it out for me when he asked me all I've done to it and what each item cost... I'm right at about 9k (which includes the front plate bumper coming this next month).

 

It adds up quick.

 

a lot...right up there with Tacodoc

 

I'm going to say I've easily spend more then 5k on my truck in the year I have had it, And the spending hasn't stopped.

 

What kind of exhaust did you install? I was thinking about a bank monster or flowmaster but they are upwards of $450.
