I was talking to a Toyota salesman down in Texas that had been with them for ~18 years, and he pointed me towards the rumors of the Stout, but we were both skeptical that we'd see it in the US before 2027 thanks to the Chicken Tax.

That said, if you don't mind the RHD, there's very nice '90s Hiluxes you can get imported from Japan. The '00s models come available next year, too.

I meant no offense the hillbillies I worked with took great pride and compliment being called a hillbilly it was an insult to them if you thought they weren’t. One kid I worked with was from deep Appalachia where his grand folks raised him and he literally ate nothing but chips and soda and had no idea what a toothbrush was so I bought him one and he was saying it was hurting so bad while he brushed his teeth (the were little black nubs) and the sink filled with blood

Folks are proud of where they come from...period.

They can call each other what they want but outsiders...not so much.

There's quite a bit to learn from visiting towns outside our own home.

I've traveled/lived was assigned to Europe (England/Germany/Italy) and visited Spain, Turkey, Crete, Austria, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Iraq.

The cultures are amazingly different from what we Americans are accustomed to living.

We can see how others live in the Good ol' US of A...we just have to venture out.

LMFAO not even in the least. Place can burn. I absolutely resent that I even have to go back to where I grew up to visit family. :bananadead:

I GTFO and lived all over the west, even left the US a few times…I think I am a westerner though, this midwest thing is not clicking for me. I’m confident I have met people here who have never been out of the county..no typo.

My 2018 is hands down best vehicle I have ever owned. I put a deposit down without test driving it, I knew its a Tacoma (Cant say that about the 4G though, IMHO its ruined. Toyota lost me as a new truck buyer)

Currently, its the only vehicle in our family. I use it for my home maintenance business, tow 6x12x7 enclosed trailer, go camping/off-road, take road trips, etc. Basically its an amazing all around vehicle that does everything I ask it to. Had zero issues too except for stuff i broke offroad. I also find the seats super comfy, even on 8+ hour drives.

Ive used my bed thousands of times to carry stuff and I tell ya I definitely prefer composite. Its tough as nails and it doesnt rust.

I will agree on flimsy/plastic piece of shit bumpers. I have added a front aluminum stump bumper but left the rear stock. Been fine for 6 years.

I keeping my taco till the wheels fall off. Currently have 60K miles, hoping she will make 400-500k miles before any major work needs to be done.

    Cant agree with you more.

4G is meant for folks who need a heated steering wheel. The NA current tacoma buyers have spoken, so and we got the 4G.

Toyota lost me as a new truck buyer. 3G is the last old school taco one can buy.

I wish I could afford a 2024 4R and a 2019 Tundra, and keep my 3G. That way I would know I will never have to buy a vehicle ever again :)

    Exactly.

Too many people in NA focus on comfort and luxury and it shows. I am completely opposite.

Gimme 4 doors, truck bed, rubber floors, power windows, MT and im a happy camper.

Toyota definitely lost me as a new truck buyer. GM, Ferd, Dodge and Toyota are all the same now.
