Well its not really a tacoma but my dads 87 toyota 4x4 odometer shows 311,000 miles but he put bigger tires on it at 150,000 so technically it has even more than that. He has only put new rings in it once. and put a new trany it in. Ill try and get some pics of it. He has it right now at work and its still his daily driver. That thing is older than me.

i once saw a one or two year old 4cyl taco with over 200k on it. we were all convinced the guy had to be a drug smuggler to be putting that many miles on it. iirc it was a base model 2wd 2nd gen.

my '03 has around 145k on it but looks and drives like it has more like 50k miles. they must have been mostly highway miles and the 2 previous owners took very good care of it.

I believe the 160k, since I'll be at 40k in 2 days on my '09, and I've only had it 11 months. At that pace, I'm right in line with you. I too am curious to hear how it's held up? I'm not planning on getting a new car until about 300k or so, I just want to make sure the Tacoma has the same plans. But hey, that's why we buy Toyotas, right? :)

like a champ only issue ive had was front timing cover. i had it leaking at 120k and dealer wanted $1500 i said no thank you bought 90 bucks worth of parts and did it my self.

and just had a u-joint take a dump last month and i fixed that. Other than general oil maintenace ive had zero to complain about my taco.

Its my DD so it sees plenty of abuse.

256,000 mile replacing trans and t-case this weekend due to a wreck, not because of wear, never had any problems caused by wear only wrecks (1 head on at 40mph the other a poorly made drive shaft breaking in half at 70mph and a few others lol)
    Any Rust? hardly any

What is your most recent fuel economy?18-19ish mpg

Running OK? not at the moment, a driveshaft that broke in half took out my exhaust transfer case and transmission, other than that yes

Would you buy another?? hell yeah if i had the money
