x2 for the painting to touch up easy. Besides, there was no other silver on my truck and I think it stood out too much on a plane jane like mine....it was installed by the dealer before I looked at the truck.....

Ridingontrd you make the front of mine look weak.....dang I need a light bar......

Does the OEM plate ( not stock) cause any hassle when changing the oil?

Pardon my ignorance as I haven't changed the oil myself on my truck yet.

Canadian price is listed as $245.50 CDN. So I imagine its a bit cheaper South of the border.

My aluminum plate is cracked and now rattles pretty loud. I've got mine painted, and it still looks great w/ the cracks. It's wicked easy to change the oil with the plate on there, I'm just not sure how much hard core the skid plate is, I wouldn't recommend it for "real" off roading.

No the stock plate does not get in the way of an oil change. I bought my aluminum one for about $175.

Installed the OEM skid plate the other day! Easy install, took about 15 minutes and it shouldn't have even taken that long!!! I think I might paint it black though to match my truck better. Eh, I'll see, ain't to worried about it right now. It isn't super heavy duty but it will do the job if you don't go 4 wheeling like crazy!!! Perfect for looks too!!! It does make the truck stand out more though!!!:bananadance:

Well your red matches your coilovers haha!! Hey longhorn. Do you have AAL's for the rear lift? Is it a 2 inch lift in the back? Also, did you get the rear tsb work done?

Yes I have the TSB rear suspension, but that's all that the rear end has. I have 2" AALs and rear 5100s that I still haven't installed (possibly over Christmas with my dad), but I'm still not decided that I'm going to lift the rear... It looks good right now with no load in the bed, but any kind of weight back there and it's going to look way nose high.

Jeez so you have 3 inchs of lift in the front and just the tsb done in the rear?! Dang it looks pretty level though! How much did the tsb take you up in height from the stock suspension?

Yep. The TSB leaf pack lifted my rear end almost an inch, but they will settle over time. That's why I'm still debating the AAL. Kinda wish I could get a 1" AAL without having to have one custom made like Chris4x4, but I already bought the 2".

If you look at some of my gallery pictures before the tonneau cover, it still looks a "tad" high in the front, but I think the tonneau makes it "look" more level. I haven't measured it lately, but last I checked the front was about 1/2" higher than the back.

I put mine on last friday took only 2 days to get it. I paid $170 for it. I think it looks good and since I don't go wheeling only the occasional gravel road or trip across a dirt field It is plenty protection for my truck. My truck is silver so it was a good match. It came with the mounting hardware and instructions took maybe 15 minutes to do by myself in my garage.
