    I have had both,

2010 Nissan frontier v6 4.0 4x4 automatic, 4 door , powerful 260hp/282ftlb, 6ft bed. It was reliable, awesome truck wish I still had it. poor mpg for a midsize though (17mpg highway) , I thought it has nicer interior than the Tacoma but that can be personal preference, I wish it had more storage, higher ground clearance, and a rear sliding window.

the Tacoma I have now is access cab 4x4 5spd 2.7, I enjoy the better gas mileage but miss the v6 power occasionally. Overall I enjoy the tacoma, as it has more accessories than the frontier, extra storage, rear window, and higher ground clearance .

I guess it all depends on what you are looking for.

Tacoma, Look at both in person. Same year, same color, comparable features. You won't even need to open a door on either to tell the Tacoma is quality. I was researching both trucks, and finally went to look. It took me seconds to decide. Shelled out the extra few thousand and am happier than ever. Going off opinions is a poor way to shop. Get the Tacoma. There isn't as big of community or support with the Frontier.
