Yep, I never understand how someone gets so wrapped up or pissed off by the opinions of another person they likely wouldn't meet or has any bearing in your life.

Ridgeline is Unibody construction, Tacoma is Ladder frame. BIG HUGE MEGA difference.

But not really important for what the OP intends to do.

It seems to me these are two completley different vehicles. If you want a modern day SUV with a truck bed, get the Honda. If you want a proven truck, with very real truck characteristics. Go with the Tacoma. Much tougher. Much better looking too in my opinion image.jpg

If you want height adjustable seats, get the Ridgeline

Although I took this from the other thread, I think this video answers a lot of the OPs questions including "I want a truck but don't really NEED a truck so what should I get?"

Front wheel drive is never an option on a truck. I don't think every guy needs to drive a truck, but the ridgeline is not a truck despite what anyone says. Trucks are RWD or 4X4, body on frame, don't have transverse mounted engines, and don't have to try and prove to other trucks it's a truck. The wrangler is more truck than ridgeline

with your statement of "just because I want a truck" it appears you've answered your own question. i'm not that familiar with the ridgeline and i am a honda fan having had an odyssey we got 250,000 miles out of relatively trouble free. if you want an actual truck only 1 of the 2 fits that ticket. with a truck remember though you may give up some of the creature comforts of a vehicle that may ride more like a car

    Definition of a pickup truck:

A pickup truck is a light duty truck having an enclosed cab and an open cargo area with low sides and tailgate.

Appears the Ridgeline meets this definition.

Besides if I wanted a real off road or rock crawler I'd rather get a 4Runner or FJ.

There isn't enough innovations on the Ridgeline for us cool-aided Taco fan boys. I think the OP just wanted to stir some shit up and we all fell for it.
