If it gets me to the game, I really don't care what it looks like. You can laugh all you want, but when I'm leaving with a Buck in the bed, I'll just smile and wave.

That independent rear suspension under load is going to create some nasty tire wear.

Well yeah if you tow those loads all the time it will.

On the other hand if you need to do that all the time you bought the wrong truck.

    Honda Ridgeline.......If Subaru made a pseudo-pickup truck.....

My only question.....Does it have a kick starter?

Yes. Proof of concept being that the Honda isn't good for the option of towing longevity.

Pulling a trailer cross-country for example or renting a trailer for moving even. Rear camber is also bad for traction.

But the RL is still capable of towing.... and not everyone who owns a truck tows.

Hondas are one of the most reliable vehicles out there. That said they also make the most fugly vehicles on the planet. If ugly is your thing go for it.

My impressions from a guy that owned an 87 and 97 taco, test drove the ridge line 50000$Canadian,has all the gizmos, accelerates nicely, quiet, comfortable, clearance is an issue, visability is great, likes to rev up each time it gears down, dealer had one hooked up to a travel trailer to show off its capabilities, but wasn't willing to go on a test drive...therefore story ends and I'd never pay more than a taco or a full size for that,my 2 cents

Since my Tacoma is my first truck I considered all options (F-150, Silverado, Colorado, etc....and even the Ridgeline). The Honda dealership was asking MSRP for them. Since they are the new model, not many available, and at this time selling pretty well.

I seriously can't believe this thread is still around and gaining comments...including mine, apparently. Look, the RL is a capable vehicle (I'm using this term instead of the word truck). It can tow, haul, and gets good gas mileage all with the everyday creature comforts that soccer moms and metro-sexual dads want and need in their life. I will never own one, though...its not my style. To me, its a car with a bed on it. Doesn't mean its not versatile and handy to have in the city life living community, its just not for me...and I'm shocked that we are even on here talking about it...still!!

The fact that this thread continues to gain comments show, to me at least, that their are several folks on here that may very well fit the target demographic that Honda is pursuing...and the ones I mentioned above. I doubt there is a thread about how awesome the Tacoma is on their website.

Now, let this thread die, please.

That's not a truck.....It's a smart car with an open trunk.
