i just loaded 44 boxes of 16 x 16 ceramic tile and im seriously worried about my tacoma 2020 sport 4x2, even though it was just 2.8 miles and no issues as of now. Im estimating like 800 pounds over capacity

1500 lbs Hardwood flooring and supplies. Loaded up two days in a row like this bringing Flooring and supplies to the job site. About 36 miles. Part of the trip was highway and I am thinking to myself, I better keep it around 50 to 55 on the highway. Then one time I looked down and I was doing 70. Back it off but the truck showed no signs of moaning or grunting. The load was very evenly distributed. I wouldn’t recommend doing this every day but for the couple days I ran the truck with the load, it was no issue at all.

I did this with my 2019 SXR in a Silverado. Backed it into the water, pulled it out. Had 2 guys push it up in the bed at the end of the day.

I put a new super jet in my trd sport no problem. I always put 1,000 pounds of wall covering in the bed and the truck handled it surprisingly well.

It’s not generally a single heavy load that causes springs to weaken to the point they need replacement but each successive load so that eventually you’re riding on the bump stops when previously you had clearance. How long it takes depends on the loads, frequency, road conditions, and the springs you have. But if your frequently loading to anywhere near max it’s pretty much inevitable they won’t last the life of the truck. Weakening happens most rapidly when the springs are flexing when already flattened by a load.

OP, I also come from the stand up jetski cult/culture and I can confirm, you will be fine doing this. I've done it many times.
