I knew what you were talking about. If you look at my pics from last night I was turned to full lock... I couldn't stop it from doing it. If I could have straightened out I would have and gotten completely on top of the light instead of mostly on top of it. I think it happens when the drivetrain gets some bind on it. I think it can reduce that bind by turning. After I backed down the steering was stuck turned all the way to the left until I got it to pop out of 4wd and to take the rear bind out and then from there I was able to get the front locker to disengage and then I could steer again. My skinny 33's are CV savers for sure!

Yeah! I don't think I would try to drive up it the way he is positioned in that pic for fear of hitting it... Now I might swing around and put my tire on that corner.

Do the Pre-runners get anymore travel than we do on stock width arms? I'm not sure what the aftermarket LCA's are capable of but on my front end the OEM LCA is what is holding mine up. I have it basically maxed out both up and down travel on the LCA.

Although I guess there are probably some differences on 1st gens.

Long travel is awesome, I just don't like the idea of the extra width. I like the small trails that my truck can do haha Maybe it's just me :notsure:

Mid travel and I'll be happy.

Maybe SAS a long ways down the road depending on where I'm at in life.

Yeah, my UCA's have plenty of travel left in them. Pre-runners are going to have tie-rod problems at the same point we will though.

You have a point with the LT! Axle shafts are pricey!
This argument is pretty hit and miss. Do you have a lot of trails around you that you could do that you think this guy couldn't? There are a lot of SA guys that are just as wide as the LT guys out there. The LT guys typically have fiberglass sticking out passed their tires that can cause problems. I want to do quick removable fenders so I can just rub my tires in the rock like the SA guys do when crawling.

Nope, no trails that it couldn't do haha

If I had that I wouldn't care about squeezing through tight trails. But I've been down trails that a 2nd gen double cab has come a little close because of size and turning radius.

I want nothing to do with a trail like that... I like to have at least a tire's width between me and the edge, usually 2 or 3 tires though. haha
double cab long bed? Double cab short beds have the same turning radius as a 1st gen (at least on paper). There is only a 6" difference but would you notice difference between 2 circles that had a radius of 240" and 246"?

2nd gens do have a WMS to WMS that is 3 or 4" wider than 1 gens so that would be on par with a 1st gen running a +2 LT kit.

You wouldn't like a couple of the trails I've been on in New Mexico then haha There's a trail that is part of an old riverbed that every time it rains it gets smaller. Everybody went around except for one other guy and I. Looks back and all that was left under the right side was air! We were lucky it didn't fall out from under us. Would have been a 6-8 feet drop....

It was this double cab short bed. Idk if turning radius made enough of a difference, but some were a little close. The type that like to bust windows...
