You can't park IN a loading zone though. It's not a separate space, it's just a giant parking space.

It is a giant space. And a handicap person wouldn't get a ticket for parking in the extension versus parking in the spot but anyone else would as it's part of the handicap spot.

The loading area of the handicap spot is part of the handicap spot, it extends the spot given our grandparents space to safely exit their vehicles. While not a designated spot, its designated as part of the handicap spot, which for all intents and purposes, is still considered a "parking" spot.

Based on a preponderance of the evidence, and given the fact that the defendant is in a court not subject to jury trial and has chosen to represent himself, I find the defendant guilty of parking in 3 spots, one of which is a handicap spot. The defendant has plead guilty to the above charge and will given the chance to voice the next challenge.
