These are simply people who recently bought a truck and joined a forum based on the truck they bought, posting about trucks. They all want heated auto seats and the next new infotainment system and whatever new truck comes out, because they are hypnotized by hype. These are not enthusiasts. Think of them as temporary Tacoma owners.

They will never own something long enough to gain a deep knowledge or develop a passion for it.

You realize you're in a thread literally showing Tacoma is at an all time high success right?? If thats a mistake, I think toyota is happy to keep making "mistakes" lol.

You better thank the truck gods that Toyota is slow to fix the Tacoma's flaws. Just look at those numbers; if the Tacoma was any better there would be riots at dealerships across the country!

First of all, that Tacoma of yours is a freaking unicorn if there was one. Reg can, V6, manual, supercharged. Used to dream about owning one of those when they came out back in 96.

But really, you can’t compare a 1/2 ton to midsize. Your same argument could be said about any other midsize truck. Even the Ranger. It hardly gets any better MPG and it’s not any more powerful.

F150’s are nice. Big honkin family mobiles that packs a lot of power. Tacoma doesn’t compete because it was never meant to compete. Nowhere in the sales brochures does it say anything about being a powerhouse, gas sipper, or an ideal work truck. Just a good ol’ trusty pick up that will take you to a lot of fun places (and bring you back!), hauling kayaks or camping gear. That’s it. I’m completely happy with the engine and transmission, personally.

My brother just bought a new one and I know how they drive.
All I’m saying is toyota should a least have the TRD supercharger available again and
it’s disappointing they have dropped it. I don’t get it.

I’m sure there would be a line out the door for buyers for a supercharger if you could add 75 more horses to the truck especially with sales going higher each year.

Ya know what, I didn't realize what you drive. You're like the freaking ultimate tacoma owner. You can criticize whatever you want about any Tacoma and I won't say shit :)

You have a 600k mile meth injected supercharged manual... all hail the king!

Tons of old people love Toyota’s. 9 out of 10 tacomas I see are elderly owners.

As long as there's demand and the product is reliable I doubt resale goes anywhere. Sh*t, F150s have strong/decent resale and there are SIGNIFICANTLY more of those being made and sold everyday.

I have no desire for a supercharger, sure it might make it faster and some will become delusional into thinking they can tow more like their mother in law away from the endless breadsticks or a 35 foot camper that's loaded with so much shit they might as well have stayed at the Holiday Inn in Big Bear

Some of you just bought the wrong truck. I'd like to see rear disc brakes and higher quality interior materials before a supercharger. I thought for a second about trading for a 2020, but a power seat and Carplay nope. The carpet and rear brakes in these trucks is shit at this price point.

Some people think being faster than other people is important. It’s a dick measuring contest, and they are unsatisfied with their dicks. That’s so sad.

    Your quotes are funny

I have a double axle enclosed trailer that I run into the mountains and from Colorado to Texas and if I didn’t have a supercharger I definitely would have issues dragging it around.
Tacoma is not an ideal truck for this but it works.
