I'm not gonna lie I was really interested in them when I first heard about it, but I had a leased 2017 Wrangler Willy's that I sold my way out of after it fucking STRANDED ME in the middle of the desert with only 6k miles on it.

After that I won't touch an FCA product just won't do it. My tacoma had to come tow the jeep 15 miles back to civilization then we waited 5 hours for a tow truck and jeep had it for almost a MONTH before finally replacing ECU to get it back on the road:

Only thing I miss especially with summer coming up is driving it around my beach neighborhood with the doors off:

3rd gen looks freaking amazing compared to 2nd and performs just as well if not better. That's why.
Do you really want to keep that old look ?

    No offence,
No offence, but driving a 2006, you would. We all cling to what we know. But let’s face it, if Tacoma sales were like Ridgline or Frontier or Ranger or Colorado sales, we wouldn’t be having this chat. The Tacoma segment is growing for sure.

2G is over, and it hurts just a little. I was a good truck.

To me there’s not a truck on the road with better styling than a third gen Tacoma. They’re all over the lots on base and I love seeing them. Still love my truck though. I’m like the faithful husband that still doesn’t mind seeing a hottie walk by now and again.

The Mid-sized truck segment is really set to expand, people are just not buying cars any longer and Full Sized Trucks are getting too expensive so that leaves alot of room for growth in the Mid's.

I mean MSRP is higher now with the safety shit but still a 4x4 TRD Offroad with a tech package MSRP is $37,4xx and that has more equipment than the Sport S I optioned for $42,5xx. I imagine they'll be better deals on the Tacoma for the next couple years as well.

I actually saw one today in the McDonald's parking lot at lunch. I didn't even notice it at first, just blends in with all the other cars. Only reason I did notice was because the guy sitting in it was giving me the stink eye HARD.

I've also seen a bunch of the new rav4s already.

Live in Cincy and there are 21 Rangers sitting at the Ford dealer nearest to my house. Haven't seen any on the road yet though. They seem a little expensive to me. They're almost asking TRD Pro / ZR2 type money for the high end luxury trim ones, and the interior doesn't look that much better than a Taco or Colorado.

Im not a Ford hater by any means and tend to appreciate all trucks... but I'm not a fan of this instrument cluster at all. That would be enough to keep me from buying one. Sure would like that peppy low end torque though.

I hate that generic taxi cab instrument cluster too, but to their credit there is a Ranger model that has a normal dual gauge cluster, looks much better.

Those will be the limited edition ones. The base Rubi Gladiator is supposed to start around the mid 40s I think.

Jeep fanboys everywhere will clamor to have a truck just as unreliable as some wranglers.

I saw a new ranger in the wild for the first time on Monday. It was a Lariat FX4 Package in red. The dealer in my town however has had a couple on their lot and they haven't moved an inch since arriving. I don't think anyone has even test driven them. Though Tacoma's are like the official vehicle around here, its almost like every third person has one.

Reminds me of how any cheap rental car’s instrument cluster looks.
