If I over paid by some, I honestly don't care. Its not like I paid 5 grand over. One thing is for sure, it depends on where you live. I live in PA and the dealer that couldn't go under 29 OTD was in NY. NY has a higher cost of living. That's why we see NJ and NY people in our state 24/7. 28,350 invoice on edmunds.com

Rod11, just watch out for extra charges if they have to transport a vehicle to their dealership. I was reading that they can charge fees for relocation, so keep that in mind.

What does out the door (OTD) include?

    Tax, title, warranty? what else?

With some quick Edmunds research it looks like Geist paid roughly invoice minus $200 minus the $1500 rebate. If your buddy got one for $27K OTD, that means he paid about $25K for a truck with an invoice of around $28,500. No matter what there's always a better deal out there, but $3500 under invoice may be a little extreme. You sure that was his total including TT&L? 4WD?

Dealer did mention a fee for having to go get the truck from Texas (I'm in Louisiana). He wasn't going to charge me to pick it up from a lot about 2 hours away, but said he'd have to if they have to go to Texas. Said a couple of hundred dollars. Sounds reasonable enough as long as it comes on a truck. If some service guy is driving it back, I'll just go pick it up myself and not pay a fee.

Maybe find out the dealers name and see what he can give it to you for.

I offered $1,100 below invoice (plus rebate of $1,500) for a total of $2,600 below invoice. They came back with $1,400 below invoice (plus rebate of $1,500) for a total of $2,900 below invoice. Yep, they offered less than I was willing to pay.

    This was on a 4x4 Double-Cab Off-Road V6 Auto. Got it 10 days ago.

They do appear desperate. Another dealer I was working with offered to match this, so there probably is more wiggle room.
