    Hey Tacoma World,

Has anyone been successful buying a Pro via Costco in SoCal? I was just on the website; it says, "41,559." I think that's a pretty good price. Although I do see a lot of Pros listed for MSRP now vs. a year ago when I was looking. If anyone has had success, please let me know which dealership/salesperson you went through. Thanks.

Longo. Only place in LA I could find that sold at MSRP. There is a waiting list at times.

Dammmmm...with $4 gas they can command that. Like I said, there are quite a bit of Pros for msrp when using cars.com. I found a few in nearby states, which I would be happy to buy from to save all that money. Again, thanks for that info.

    Proof.
I bought from longo toyota.... sadly I did not buy a pro. Go through internet sales on a few dealers and see who wants your business.

I just checked online. Out of 200ish Tacomas, they don't have 1 pro. Thanks for the info...I've heard good things about them.

You won’t find one online. Call Jorge and ask to be put on waiting list. When one is delivered you’ll get one. You’re not going to find one online or at dealership already in southern California without 5-10k mark up. Believe me, I looked extensively.

Didn’t want the predator steps or GoPro mount or mudguards or wheel locks. So I am selling them or they are sold already. If you want a pro, they aren’t cheap. But the lowest discount off MSRP in SoCal for the DCSB I wanted was 2,500 off. So I wasn’t exactly getting a deal of a lifetime on OR either. I’m not wasting my time out of state. Once you come back in state with your purchase to register it, you’re going to pay the piper. Best you’ll get is a larger discount off MSRP out of state. Wasn’t worth 2-3 days of missed work.

    Mods? Yes, oh yes..
stop. don't even go onto a lot. your best bet is to pit the dealers against themselves instead of you against the dealers.

    http://fightingchance.com/

I used it. made it so easy. dealer made $300 and the poor bastard in internet sales made the easiest sale of his life.

are you financed already? go in with your paperwork in hand and ready to sign. do not negotiate anything besides the extended warranty AFTER knowing what you can get an extended warranty for (actual manf warr not 3rd party) because that's the stealerships last chance to take your $$.

figuring out pricing via spreadsheets isn't your cup of tea, I would highly suggest using a local credit union or a car search company. Do not go alone!

This is true, but not for a Pro.
In SoCal you’ll get laughed at for offering below msrp or asking for a free extended warranty. I say go for an OR at your desired trim level if you are trying to save a buck or follow this advice. Maybe you could get a steep discount with extended warranty thrown in if you bargain hard enough.
I totally agree with going to a credit union for the loan. That’s what I did at 1.9%.

As both a new Tacoma owner and new member here (been lurking a loooooong time haha), SoCal is not the place to be for trying to acquire a TRD Pro. I finally made the switch from Ford to Toyota and wanted a Pro, went to three dealers and the price ranged from $4k over MSRP to $10k over MSRP. I offered all three full MSRP plus fees and they all let me walk.

When looking back, it worked out better for me, TRD OFFROAD with wheels, tires and small lift for less than PRO.

So did you get $2500 off this vehicle? I just noticed that the black Pros cost more.

In central Florida here I was originally looking to get a Pro in Cavalry Blue. One dealership had what I wanted but said point blank: "we don't deal on these because we don't have to." I walked. Within 2 weeks that truck was gone. So I'm guessing he wasn't BSing me.

For what I purchased my TRD Off-Road for I ended up saving myself about $9k. Yeah, I really like the Cavalry Blue and the TRD suspension but hey, I've got some money to add some modifications to my specific tastes.

No. I would have got 2,500 off a DCSB OR had I decided to go that route. Black pros do not cost more. There are only three colors and no specific color cost more than another. That’s my sticker. That’s what I paid. That’s the lowest anybody will pay in SoCal. And you’re stuck with all the options so don’t think they’ll remove them either or give you discount.

Mannnnn...so nothing has really changed from a year ago in terms of pricing in SoCal. I thought it would more negotiable by now since the inventory seems to be more abundant. I am going to contact Costco and roll the dice...I'll keep you guys posted. Thanks.

I’ll quit trying to convince you that there is no discount to be had. If you really want one, contact Jorge Haro (internet sales manager) @ Longo. Put the refundable $500 deposit down and tell him you’re not interested at anything above MSRP. He can give you an idea of stock coming in and how long it will be. Good luck!

Thanks buddy! I just checked their website (5 star rating), no Pros. I'll give them a call Monday. Any salesperson that you would recommend?
