Anyone run the 16” tacoma pro wheels with beefier tires on an Off Road stock? By beefy I don’t necessarily mean larger. Any rubbing and safe clearance for all off roading?

I want ko2, but they only make e rated versions in this size. So I’m looking for c rated but more aggressive than the stock tires.

Any suggestions/ pics would be awesome!

I have been thinking of putting those Wheels on my truck, probably with the Wildpeaks for tires.

Yep, running 285/75/16’s on mine - stock OR suspension.

Minimal rubbing with the fender well liner. Can be fixed with a heat gun.

There’s a local guy running them and they look really good on MGM. Pro tails also look really good on MGM.

What size wouldn’t rub? Stock size? Any tire recommendations?

    I’d get Cooper S/T Maxx’s.

E-Load tires aren’t that much different in ride quality. The OR already has a cushy ride.

If you want KO2’s in stock-ish sizing, you can always get 4Runner TRD Pro rims which are 17”. KO2’s in 265/70/17’s come in C load range.

Personally, I like the 4Runner rim design better as well.

If you want to stick to 16”, Dura Trac’s come in LR C.
I’d not recommend St Maxx, though. They’re HEAVY. Robust, but for light off roads and mostly on-road—overkill.

What's interesting is I swore if you kept the stock Tacoma size of 265/70 you could get KOs in Load Range D instead of E as the 2G Baja and TRD Pro fit KOs stock and I don't believe they were Load Range E.

Apparently those were one-off tires as I was on BFG's website and they list the OEM fit as a Load Range D and the only option available in KO2 as Load Range E.

Totally irrelevant to your question, but I honestly thought if you didn't go 75 you could get away from E. I never found E particularly bad, but maybe I'm immune to crappy ride in vehicles having always had something that wasn't a cushy ride.

    275/70/16’s another option.

I just checked Tire Rack. They are $250 more! Apparently it's a special order size for a KO2, but you do get the non-E load range.

I'm blown away by the price difference.

I like the 16" wheels on the Tacoma pro.. Where is the best/cheapest place to buy them from? Also, the center cups are sold separately correct?
    Thanks,

Is there a thread for this setup and tires like there is for the TRD Pro 4Runner and ko2 thread?
