just talked to my local dealer and i can get the new tacoma pro black wheels set ...price is way high around $1300. after 10% off.. or i was gonna run the 4runner pro wheels at a lot cheaper around $750.00 or so. i have 16's on my silver sky AC off road 4x4. the 4 runner pro is a 17 inch and not made for the tacoma. whats people thoughts on this???

I don't have many thoughts on it. I have questions to add though. What are the specs on each? width, backspace, offset? Also, what side tires can you run with each, assuming stock or whatever suspension to swap?

I'm getting a 17 pro next week, and I'm wresting with this same question. I'm definitely swapping tires, but haven't figured out it out 100%.

I think the matte finish looks much better than the gloss, so I'd go with the T4R version. The much lower cost is a bonus. Incidentally, I'm running the TRD T4R wheels on my '16 TRDOR.

I've got the older SEMA wheels on my '17 AC Sport, and they look great, fit great. Running 265/70 R17 Michelins, no rubbing on stock suspension. They make a grey matte finish in those wheels also, which might look good on your silver. Mine's MGM, so the black wheels are a closer color tone match.

Your mileage may vary. . .

I have the 4 runner pro wheels and they are awesome but the tacoma pro wheels would be much easier to keep clean cause they are gloss and if you get any tire dressing on the Matt finish it doesn't look so good and won't come off till you wash the truck again. Both look good with decent tires. If I had a pro taco I would just keep them and put on good tires. But I am still very happy with the 4 runner wheel

A LOT of people run the T4R wheels on here. I think theyre the best looking wheel on a lighter color truck.

Will the 4Runner 17" pro wheels fit on the 2016 Tacoma without any issues ?

All black wheels look the same at night, all black wheels look the same when you drive-by , all black wheels look the same from 30 feet away. Remember the Fj cruiser ran the black steel wheels factory they looked exactly the same as every other black wheel.

    ? 17" Pro Tacoma Wheels?
    Pro Tacoma Wheels are 16"

I went with Pro T4R wheel because they will accomodate that big brake kit in my future.

I know for certain the Tacoma Pro 16" will give you 1/2" wider track on each side (totaling 1") over the standard TRD OR rims due to its offset. Unsure if the 17" Pro 4runners will.

Don't forget about the beadlocks either if you're wanting to stay with a 16" TRD wheel.

Yup, 9mm per side track width difference per side. Virtually inconsequential.

They aren't wider, rather the offset is different such that it pushes the wheels out by 1/2" on each side. This is how the Pro gets it's 1" wider track over the TRD OR
