Tacoma radio keeps dying - Solution? Repair?

    That's an ongoing problem with Tocomas, their radios sck and Toyota doesn't want to fix the problem. I'm fighting with them now over my radio.

    Still going strong.

    My advice if you’re having the same issue, double and triple check all you’re connections in and around the radio, something is probably loose.

    You'd need to run it on a bench opened up and wait till it fails which can be difficult. If it were me and I was set on the OEM radio I'd purchase a used replacement, they sell cheap. These radios were not designed to be repaired as is many things these days. Not that you shouldn't try but know that going in because unless it's simple, finding the issue and then fixing it could be next to impossible. I can say replacing the head unit to a more modern one with some of the newer features found in more modern vehicles have was a game changer and totally worth the price I spent.
