Man this recall is a screw for me, I got a shitty Dealership - Larry H Miller in Colorado Springs, CO and they have been awful from the start of my ownership. If your interested I can shed some light but not sure on the mechanical side I'm still trying to figure that part out too.

You do know that you can take it to ANY Toyota Dealer for service don't you? Any Dealer, your choice.

I'm sitting in the dealer waiting room waiting on mine. Dropped it off 7 hours ago (supposed to be a 4 hour job). Got here and they tell me the alignment is out of whack. By a fair amount. They said Toyota covers 1.5 hrs of alignment on leaf replacements. He's been at it for 45 min. They suspect an accident in the past. I've only had the truck for a year and there was no record or evidence of an accident when I bought it. Sigh.

On another note: does Toyota sell anything besides Prius? Big showroom here, 15 cars in it, all various Prius models. No other models. I spy a few trucks in the lot but it's 105f out so I'm viewing them from afar.

Got the truck back. The tech/mechanic now doesn't think there was an accident. The alignment was just really off. I haven't gone more than 5 miles in it yet but it looks like it's sitting at the same height. I took a few measurements before so when I have time I'll see what the after looks like. I will say the steering feels light years better - much tighter feel (thanks to the alignment) - and the ride also feels better. Can't quite put my finger on it but more solid, maybe a bit stiffer. Time behind the wheel will tell but as of now, worth it.

I went by the dealer yesterday. They inspected the springs and put me on a waiting list to get the work done. Said to expect a call of letter in about 2 months.

    back to bone stock.
mine is done. i cant comment on ride, because i lost my old springs with AAL. i think the new stuff feels more plush. i took the opp to drop the front back to stock ride height. my alignment was off too, so they say. i think they did something wrong because i had to pony up cash for a front tie rod. they said my alignment was .75" off which is damn impossible. whatever.

i'll load it up to the gills in a couple weeks. i dont expect much in the way of fantastic payload.

and my new springs are chirpy as eff!! i cant tell if it is the metal-metal contact or the bushings. but it sounds like birds chirping as i drive down bumpy roads. super annoying. i cant imagine the noise going away on it's own.

I received this recall letter last week for my rig..

I built a TSB leaf back with wheelers 3 leaf HD progressive pack. Im assuming they will not do anything for me unless I wanted to get rid of my current pack all together...

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
    They stock equal parts:
    1. What they make the most money selling
    2. What sells the easiest

best thing I ever did on my 2009. Load handling and ride much improved. The showroom is full of Prius because they have to push them to sell. With current gas prices sales of small eco cars are tanking. Then there are the CAFE standards they have to meet. Good luck if gas prices stay low. Not sure how the govt can force people to buy something they do not want. Might see a big increase in Fed gas taxes. They tax the crap out of cigs and beer to discourage consumption.

I don't know jack about the alignment numbers but they told me mine were way off. Looking at the numbers below I don't see anything crazy. I'm guessing these are the "after", not before numbers.

Doesn't look too bad to me... Ideally 0 toe/camber and your caster looks perfect depending on lift/tire size...
