    Hi all,
When I took my 06 Taco in to a Seattle dealership to get a cat back installed yesterday, a service rep told me in a couple months I would be getting a letter from Toyota about a recall with the accelerator pedal. This was news to me, so I was wondering if any of you here had heard anything about this.
My apologies if this is a re post of any sort
    Eric

I'll at least answer the OP. It's from a couple/few months ago. They're cutting your gas pedal up first if the parts aren't available in order to shorten the height of the gas pedal. And then when the parts are available, they'll replace it with a new smaller one.

Confirmed by the service manager at my local dealership 3 weeks ago. He said to expect the letter in April, maybe sooner, maybe later.

I didn't ask him about opting out. IMO, I can't see where a shorter pedal makes much difference, even with heel-and-toe maneuvers.
