The Off Road access cab 4x4 is not available in the USA in a manual, only in double cab. But Canada gets the OR 4x4 access cab in manual. If I could get this configuration, I would trade mine in for it.

My F'ing Shin Has Banged that damn sharp edge on the lower driver side dash. I do it 3+ times a week and sit in silence for a good min or two cause I cant believe I just did it again. I thought I was the only one. F that corner.

Put the 4Runner engine in and add direct plus port fuel injection. Put 4.30 gears in auto trans truck. Add HID headlights and fogs. Go high strength steel frame. Aluminum body and truck box to help save weight and prevent rust. Add rear coil springs and design for 500 pounds more payload. Add manual seat height adjustment. Plus rear disc brakes. That would be reasonable and perfect.

I bet we see this in the 3G sooner versus later. The TRD Pro grille has a piece that looks like it can be removed to hold something electrical, which would make sense if it were some sort of forward facing item for something along those lines.

I stand corrected... you are absolutely right. Only the TRD Sport is available in the access cab with the 6 MT configuration.

    Stock.
    Mine would have to have.

    A) Usb power source for the go pro and maybe a 2nd mount looking out the back.
    B) Built in brake controler
    C) higher shin clearance. (Im long legged but I have to sit back in the seat like a car rather than a truck) i dont hit when i get in, only when i shift gears.:burnrubber:
    D) more guages or dash menus to see (volts, oil, etc)
    E) 110v in cab outlet
    F) Sliding center consol armrest. mine is an elbow rest. also make it lockable.
    G) Driver side handle
    H) coin holder
    I) cruise control buttons, not the little stick behind the wheel

    J) lights and 12v power source in the bed.
    K) Remote tailgate lock on the key
    L) built in compressor (maybe with airbags/CTIS/airhorn?)
    M) power/extendable mirrors (similar to the ones on dodges)
    N) tonneu cover needs to have the strap locks for when only 1 section is pulled back
    O) engine bay light and hood shocks.

Id like to see at least a different knob. One that wont turn unless you push in on it or something. I put a sticky note over top of mine, so I dont turn the wrong one.:frusty:

A buddy of mine has this problem also, so I tried to get into his truck...no way....My legs are too long and I could not even get into his truck...had to move the seat back, then re-adjust...
For you short legged guys...try to get in the habit of sliding the seat back on exit and you will have no problem entering next time... A pain, I know, but this is how my buddy does it and has got so used to doing it, he does not even notice it anymore...

4 wheel disc brakes with ant-lock.
    Good motor with more guts.
Be able to order options and not a package !
Give the "Limited" more options and make it a true Limited...i. e. ,cooled seats, more electronics, folding mirrors, etc

This ^ just make this again. Each generation of Tacoma keeps getting bigger, fatter and more complex. Just make the 1985 truck up to modern standards and I'd buy one in a second.

Short of Toyota building this dream truck the chance of me buying a new Tacoma is exactly zero. (not bashing 3rd gens, just saying smaller, simpler, cheaper are really attractive to me.)
