I hum faster or slower according to your speed. I've grown stronger over the last few months. Now you can feel my slight vibration in your hands and feet. My weirdest quirk is that I love to put on my show when youre driving straight or turning left, but I quit my performance when you turn right.

What am I ? Be specific.

    Possible right front wheel bearing.

I was thinking front wheel bearing, but it's hard to tell which side its coming from. So you think its most likely the right side then?

Wheel bearing failure is most audible when the wheel is under load. Turning toward the failing bearing transfers the weight to the other side of the vehicle, quieting the bearing. Turning away from the failing bearing transfers weight onto the failing bearing causing it to become more audible. (Think how a vehicle leans when you turn).

See if one hub feels a little warmer than the other after you drive it for a while. Avoid braking hard before you stop before you check it. If you have an infrared pyrometer, check different places from one side to the other. If you have a bearing going out, it might be a little warmer??

Also, check the play in your axle shafts where they come out of the front diff. Just wiggle them by hand and see if one side is looser than the other. You might find the driver sided is considerably looser than the passenger.

The advise I got when I had a front wheel bearing failing was to jack up the front and spin the wheels by hand the one that sounds like it has sand in it is the one to replace

Sounds like mine which needs to have the front diff needle bearing replaced with the ECGS bushing sitting in the box...Just haven't had time yet. See if there's play/wobbling when you shake the driver side CV axle where it goes into the diff...If it feels loose and sloppy, then needle bearing replacement time.

If mine were a 2006 and one front bearing is worn I would go ahead and replace them both, the other side will not be far behind.
