I had same issue...muffler looked like it had a rusty samurai sword slash down the middle. So replaced cat back but wish I had did the whole thing now that I've got a small leak in front part at catalytic converter.

I'd like to buy a new cat and just toss the old one. It's currently sitting in the shed.

Awww.. man!! yeah those are kinda a pain when they break. Old brittle plastic isn't good haha. I believe those parts are sold online, or you could take the cheap way and JB weld them. Just have to be careful and make sure the weld is semi flush so the chrome fits back on tight against the body.

so maybe you can clear up a TW quandry, since the pics of your frame seem to be NOT black paint
is it just the lighting effect or is your frame paint that is good still not black but a greenish/blueish color
somebody said all 1st gen frames are black but i have seen a couple pics that do not look black

okay, so my unbiased opinion is my frame is dark blueish green... I have pics of the outside of the frame where there has been weathering and pics of the inside, not much weathering.

    (inside) probably the most accurate.

    hope this helps.

I used J-B weld, so far its holding up nicely. If you twist the chrome pieces the jb weld breaks, other then that it works great!!
