Run it at least 30 sustained minutes on the freeway if you can inly use it one a week. Sustained powering of the alternator is the key.

Short trips take more out of the battery (starts) than it puts in. My GF’s dad was doing this when we told him to drive their Honda more,,, turns out he was driving 5-10 minutes to get beer n scratch offs.

Yet you're the one here, trying to figure out why the year old battery was low at 55 degrees. The battery was never fully charged at purchase, wasnt driven enough to fully charge it in a year, and wasnt up to the task of sitting for a few weeks with the current drain on the battery at rest. I say your theory is more bogus than mine. But, you do you. I have batteries that are close to 10 years old in several vehicles, toys, machinery, that are still fully functional. Ski

The 2020+ trucks talk to the mothership more often, on top of existing parasitic draws with evap system tests, etc. It's the price paid for convenience functions like remote start and remote unlock by phone.

I might be late but I read if you have problems with fob not working or starting truck and battery in fob is dead. You hold the fob with the logo facing the push button and push on brake pedal the truck will start. I tried it to see if it is true. I took the battery out of the fob and walked up to truck sat inside and it would not start so pointed the fob and it started so it works. just saying

You could get a solar battery tender if you park outside. Get a regulated one so you don't overcharge the battery.

My 2019 has very low drain, possibly the lowest of any of my vehicles. I've left it for weeks and then put a charger on it and it barely needs to charge. But it has almost no electronics.
