Let the dealer look at it , insurance should cover if they find something .

There was a poster on here that his actuator took on water and they said he was in to deep of water . Warranty wouldn't cover it and it was pricey .

This may be the dumbest question of the thread..but I have to ask. If that is high enough to worry about the diff what do you guys do who launch boats?

On my 2nd gen, I sunk it several times, needing to be pulled out engine running every time. If yo don’t get the bottom of the seats wet, you should be fine. Above that, sensors start getting wet and then it’s a bummer.

Checked out the truck this morning as it was covered with chopped up leaves of all sorts...looked like camo paint job on it. On the east side of the truck the bed wall was wet with water droplets where the driving rain got past the tonneau cover seal. Very end of bed was the same way. All else in there was fine, dry as could be. Going to take the hose later and see if i could get rid of the camo job.
Haven't even gone to my dock to see what the boat looks like yet...afraid to look.

I launch my boat 3-4 times a week and my tires never touch the waterline. Maybe we are just blessed with ramps that aren't too shallow here?

OP, was this salt water or fresh? If it's fresh with a cold truck I think you are fine. But, if that is salt/brackish water you may have issues down the road.

Most importantly, check for venomous snakes, gators, and any other sea creatures.

Have had trouble with brake calipers on both my F250 and Jeep Wrangler multiple times from exactly this here in Louisiana. Even after making sure they were well dried out afterwards. Get sticky within a year or so and periodically Randomly heat up. But... it is Louisiana. Hoping the Tacoma will fare better in that regard.

Local creek flood, car was parked. I’m not close to any salt water sources.

It must be ramp dependent, because where I launch my boat, I can back the boat/trailer down and still walk behind the truck without being in the water.

OP, you’re over thinking it. Can never tell who is trolling or not on here with some of these replies. It sat for 10 minutes in what I don’t consider that deep of water.

    It’s fine, just drive it

Stock wheels and suspension. Random "utilitarian" mods featured on this great forum.
Picture with the breather mod installed. The oem one is halfway between axle and top of the pumpkin. Water he was sitting in doesn't look like it got above the axle line. Still, if there was rushing water and it did make it past seals, I'd maybe consider doing both diffs but there are guys on here that wheel through way worse and are 'fine'.
