I love everything about my 2022 Double cab TRD Off Road except ONE THING. The front seats are like riding on bricks. You don't really notice it on short trips but these things are killing me on longer road trips. Does anybody know of a place that can change the front seats out for something more comfortable? I'm in Tennessee, but I'd be happy to drive as long as the ride back is comfortable.

Well, for me I’ve always had to add the seat lifters and clazzio leather seat covers in both my second and 3rd gens. That solves it mostly as they have padding. The lifters help with under thigh support on longer trips.

If you want to try lifters before you buy just get some thicker washers to stack in the front and try it out(don’t drive it like this though as it isn’t safe).

Try some seat jackers. They seem to help a lot of people. Helped me, but I still am ready to get out of the truck at the end of my 5 hour drives.

Toyota builds 25K of these things a month. Apparently 24,990 asses fit in those seats comfortably and about 10 don't. Upholstery shop can carve you a new ass profile. Seat jackers bring the front up a tad. Seat covers compress the bolsters a bit. Good luck.

I personally love the seats. Use your lumbar support

I just installed SeatJackers on my 2021 Tacoma. My wife went from absolutely hating the truck to stealing it from me. Best mod I have made so far.

Isn't only lifting the front of the seat going to make it raked and at a weird angle? I would think you'd need jackers on all four corners of the seat

I think it depends on the configuration of the driver.
People with long legs benefit from the added back tilt gained from the jackers.
My 2nd gen Tacoma does not have excessive legroom, so I’ve added washers.

Certainly not the most comfortable seats. I know what you mean. Best bet is visit a good upholstery shop that specializes in custom auto seat/restoration and have them make you a new bottom with better foam

It depends on how long your legs are. I went with 3 thick washers as well on the back bolts. I needed it overall higher even after power adjusted. It’s perfect now.

Mass produced seats, design for best-common ergonomics.

Seat jackers front and/or back. Some people get pads that fit directly on the seat made from mattress memory-foam.

Find your solution to the problem, like you will always have to with any new vehicle.

Slap some air ride seats in, just be sure to raise the roof a foot

no think of it like this, places your butt in a lower position. It raises your thighs kind of more relaxed and lean back position. The electric seat has a adjustment for the thigh support. That along with seat checkers make the seats so much more adjustable.

My butt likes my seat. No issues even on long trips. I am 5' 10.

Not sure why people think seat jackers will soften your seat, but they won't. They may change to a more comfortable angle, but that's it. I'd contact a few legit interior shops. They can rework foam, add memory foam, etc. Or just get a memory foam cover to use on long trips.

I added front and back seat jackers on both driver and passenger seats.
