Whats up Tacomaworld, was recently in a fender bender on the way back to work. Some dude hit me straight from behind as I was stopped at a stop sign decently hard. Surprisingly there was no damage to my truck as he hit my trailer hitch metal square. The black pumper piece is decently loose on the right side though, so took all his information, informed a police officer on the scene and will get it all checked out.

After this event happened, I noticed two pieces in my cupholder that weren't originally there. Anyone know what these are / what they are used for / how they could of ended up in my cup holder? Not really sure if these were a result of the accident or just somehow ended up there.

They are covers for the bolts that mount the airbag on the back of your steering wheel.

    Mostly stuff I built.
They are off your steering column. The one with the hole goes on the cruise stem the other goes on the opposite side.

I found those same covers in my cup holder when I bought my truck in March. I have yet to figure out what they are or where they go.

Okay that makes a lot of sense considering I had the steering wheel dampener TSB done a day ago.

Finally the mystery is solved. That was driving me crazy. Not sure how I didn't see those openings on the steering column.

Make sure you get it checked out for frame damage. Don't go off your eyeballs! If shit is popping off and moving around the cab, you got hit pretty hard.
