Im wanting to trade my stage 2 Deaver (+400-600lbs) leaf springs for deaver stage 1 leafs (0-300lbs). Mine are in good shape. Theyre just too stiff and high for my +200lbs camper shell. Im in the San Antonio/ Austin area of Texas. I am willing to do some driving if need be though. The springs are the same for all 2nd and 3rd gen tacos btw. This is a link to my facebook posting for more background.

If you cant find any trades you can try removing the 5th leaf in the pack. I removed the 5th leaf out of my deaver stage 2's and it rides good with high clearance rear bumper and no shell.

Interesting. How much work was this to do, and is it easily reversible?

I have Deaver stage IIIs and sometimes think of backing them off a bit.
