Sounds like the "family special" one of my uncles had for my wife and me - was willing to sell us his Rav4 for $1k MORE than the dealer offered him on trade and was unwilling to budge. Hope the co-worker's family health emergency was resolved and didn't require any additional $.

 

My "family special" was getting my truck for free from my dad; Didn't even have to pay the title transfer fee!

 

Ask your co-worker if he/she wants to make a quick $10k profit!!!!!

 

My one cousin is a plumber loves giving out the family discount of double the price

2017 Tacoma with V6 and 6MT.... this is the pinnacle of Third Gen perfection. Great score. Unfortunately these deals always have an untold cost.

 

Awsome deal. See if they can get the owner of that FJ Cruiser to let it go for $15K.

In reality, that's what these trucks should go for.

 

I think the FJ might be higher mileage...

The last time I got a family special was from my alleged best friend 25+ years ago when I was going through a divorce. He is a CPA and said he was going to take care of my taxes since I had enough to deal with. He did, and proceeded to send me a bill for $600.

 

I'd keep it until it was worth $14k.. Then sell.

 

I have a guy for that; My old neighbor is a tax attorney and I shoveled his driveway a lot...

Due to his expertise, I paid $10 in state taxes and $0 in federal on $2,500 in DoorDash earnings for 2019; I tried to pay him but refused to accept payment!
