What’s up with all this hate with TSS? It actually maybe prevented me from rear ending someone.

It has been flawless. Well a couple times there was a snow build up and I got a yellow light, just had to clear the snow. Applied PPF and ceramic on the Toyota logo and no more issues with snow.

I think if you are not lifting your taco like crazy, TSS won’t cause any issues down the road.

Same crowd that says that they would rather die than drive an automatic.
The 1% that is super vocal on the forums vs the silent majority ;)

I cannot stand it in my wife's subie and have turn the nanny shit off every single time I drive it. Don't beep at me for going over a line, don't even think of touching my brakes or slightly moving my steering wheel. You can no longer get a subie without it. In addition, it has almost caused more issues than prevented by far.

One story, one dark (well kind of dark) early snowy morning. A car in front of me was taking a right turn into a gas station. I slightly moved my steering wheel to the left to go around them and we were now where close to one another. I was not tail gating nor was this a aggressive maneuver. Now this damn subie safety sense applies the brakes causing ABS to fire up. It also moves the steering wheel a bit and I almost lost a bit of control where no corrections were close to being needed. I have been driving in snow for almost 28+ years, I do not need this "safety" crap to assist me.

So, we (or I mostly) turn it off when I drive it as it is more of a hinderance to safe driving in my lowly opinion.

Yea, it was a Honda XL 80. I was helping a friend clean out his grand father's barn. The bike was missing a gear shifter, foot pegs and exhaust. I asked what he wanted for the bike. He says "what do you have?" I pushed the thing over to my buddies house and we Frakensteined parts from an old broken down mini bike. Cleaned the carb and put in some fresh gas. 6 bucks, I rode that little bike all over the cinder hills and power line roads.

Wow that’s terrible, I would turn that shit off too.

From my experience It’s not invasive in the taco at all. It has power steering so none of that “automatic” steering wheel turning.

It only beeps if you are quickly coming up to someone or when you are reversing and someone is coming from left or right. It doesn’t bother me at all to be honest. I really love the adaptive cruise control, use it all the time.

It's called the fragile male ego . It's also probably the reason we don't have a solution for BSM and steel bumpers. Every time it gets brought up half a dozen apes have to beat their chest and prove to the world how much of a man they are that they don't need BSM.

    Haha!

You could be right yeah. I mean I could drive just fine without all this tss stuff, but it sure is nice to have. I’m glad my taco came with it, I don’t see a lot going wrong with the system.
