Please stop with the oh they won't steal it because it's a manual bullshit. If it's an organized theft ring they don't give a fuck, just look at all the HiLux and first gen Tacoma thefts on Marlin Crawler. The problem is the 3rd gen is kind of a malaise era Tacoma, it's basically the HiLux with the 3.0 litre at this point, but at least a manual trans and transfer case behind that 3.0 was valuable enough to make worth stealing.

I feel the same way. Only thing is if it is stolen, I wouldnt want to see it again. Back in the late 90s, my barber had a new Mazda 626 stolen. A person came in to use the bathroom and swiped the keys from his coat. The car got recovered a week or two later in downtown Cincinnati with a couple crack hoes driving it. Car had some minor damage and the interior had burns. It was repaired and he got it back. Turned that one in at the end of his lease.

Totally agree...I wouldn’t want to see mine again either. It’s either getting parted out, shipped overseas, or some dirt balls are joyriding it. I’d rather not get the joyride back, especially since you hear what condition they are usually in afterwards. Rather just collect the insurance $ and start over.
