Funniest thing I've read all week. This is why everyone want to know the biggest lift and biggest tire and meanest looking MT for road uae because they don't offroad.

Think most of use spend MOD money on expensive lifts, tires and other offroad themed MODs. Loud exhaust is more a pavement princess thing I think.

….it’s so bin done to the point now it’s kind of sad hearing and seeing every other car/truck sounding like it’s about to explode.

Is there anyone out there who has done an exhaust “upgrade” to their Taco and is happy with it? I’m seeing now why I don’t think I’ve ever noticed one taco with a loud exhaust at least near where I live. 40 mins North of Toronto.

I know people that chop the last 2 feet off to change departure angles.

I was describing myself, not trying to be funny. I prefer to hear wildlife and nature and not hear my truck or others when I'm out on the trails. I also enjoy being able to use full throttle in town when needed without letting all the cops know about it. I've had loud exhausts in the past, but I'm a grown up now.

Life is too short to worry about what "another guy" put on his truck; Make your truck yours.

Believe it or not some people just like to hear some more feedback from the exhaust than what the stock system provides. Personally, it's part of the enjoyment of driving.

Aggressively accelerating through residential streets with a loud vehicle is another story...

Agree completely. But you've missed the point. Loud exhausts are everywhere now. I live in the city and it might as well be a Nascar track. I'm so tired of it. Looking forward to retiring in the country eventually.

I have had a number of Mustangs with after market exhausts. Even had an Explorer that I dropped a 5.0L into with aftermarket exhaust. I enjoyed them. With my Tacoma, I do prefer it quieter... with that said, I am considering putting a Dynomax cat back system on it, with one change... instead of the Ultraflo muffler, I would run a Superturbo equivalent. I am hoping that it will give a touch more tone but not be overwhelming. Sort of like the TRD exhaust but cheaper in price.

    To each there own though...

I have heard a few louder Tacoma's around here, so they are around.

For me personally. I dont think the v6 in my trucks sounds particularly great:notsure:. Its alot of money for virtually no power gain. Hp tuners or supercharger would be a better use of money:anonymous:

Also my truck is my normal person vehicle:crazy: so I'd prefer to keep it from sticking out alot.

I didn't know he was actually complaining about the noise pollution?

So, we are suppose to remove the exhaust system? Not sure the truck would even run, to well, actually. Probably start a fire fairly quickly, not to mention.
