I moved my truck to back into my driveway and the beeping in the dash wouldn’t stop.

    I have a manual trans.
I also have a pioneer headunit with maestro setup I’ve had for several months now, maybe 6 months never had an issue.

I went through the settings in the HU and it’s basic settings. Turning off the bsm or parking sensor did not stop it.

I disconnected the negative battery terminal for a few minutes.
When i plugged it back in, the HU displays the reverse camera and the reverse lights are on.
i cant get out of the screen to adjust anything.

not sure what else to do or check.

So it's not actually stuck in reverse, the truck just thinks it is?

Seems there may be a stuck or broken reverse switch.

Try unplugging the reverse switch on the transmission.

i had the same issue when i installed Android headunit (cartrimhome) in my manual trans truck. after looking on the facebook group i found other manual trans owners having the exact same issue. even after swapping canbus units and replacing headunit with another still had same issue. ended up just buying a completely different radio (dasaita) and it worked as it should even with the exact same canbus harness so it was a compatability issue with the radio itself.

edit: reread post and seen yours was working for 6 months prior so probably not the same issue after all and i only had probably with the reverse camera not shutting off.

where can I find the reverse switch?

I just reprogrammed the Maestro kit just in case. If that doesn't do it, I will remove reverse cable.
