My 2010 Tacoma has 2 tie-down rings on the bed floor (close to the rear gate). However, there are no tie-down rings in the front of the bed floor.

That is a weird design. Most trucks, like F-150, or Tundra, has 4 tie-down rings on the bed floor.

My problem is, I am considering adding either a retractable bed cover or bakflip folding cover to my truck. But after installing either of the covers, the factory rail will not be usable. So I cannot use the tie-downs on the rail. I can only use the tie-downs on the bed floor, but there are only 2 of them, both near the tailgate.

Is there any solution to that? Is there anyway to add 2 tie-down rings in the front of the bed floor?

No money, all went to truck...
Doctor, I'll try to get some pics up this weekend. I just installed the bakflip on my truck. Yes, you lose the side rails for tiedown. However, from this forum, I got the idea to put in a D-ring on each of the bolts used to secure the rails for the bakflip. There are 6 total bolts so I was able to install 6 drings, 3 on each side.

If you also add the drings like pety, you'll have more than enough tiedowns.

Well, that is great. I am expecting to see your pictures.

What did you use? G2 or HD? I suppose HD is stronger, but how much stronger is it? And is it worth to buy HD?
