I am fixing to lift my 2008 double cab and I want to keep my original rims. Currently my tire is 245/75r16 and I'm thinking about getting the 265/75r16 Kenda Klever mt. I'm just trying to make sure the tire will fit my stock rim before I buy the tires, I'm not good with rim and tire sizes so can anyone tell me if the new tires will fit my stock rims? just trying to be safe.

Hey bud, yes these will fit on the rims. The number "16" at the end of the measurement is the size of the rim and since your original tires were 16's then the new ones will also fit the same rims. That being said if you open the drivers side door and look at the sticker on the right side door wall you'll notice the OEM size or basically the size that Toyota says your truck should have are 265/70-16R which are bigger than the tires you have now but smaller than the ones you want to exchange them with. This will most likely only give a little rubbing when the steering wheel is turned all the way for a sharp turn but I thought you should know for your own peace of mind. I'm actually in the same boat having just bought a used 2005 Tacoma with brand new tires installed by the used car dealer. Your truck has the same detentions. I'm thinking they were trying to make the truck look newer with brand new tires but accidentally put tires one size too small. This can make the truck seem like it's floating a bit or need an alignment at speeds 60mph and over. In actuality it just needs the right size tire which are the 265/70-16R which are a little wider than the 245/75-16R. Of coarse the bigger 265/75-16R or even the 275/70-16R are very appealing to me but I'm going to check with Toyota before I spend the $800-$1000 to make sure. I've had tires before that "fit" into the wheel well of my previous truck but they rubbed when I had to make sharp turns and it drove me a little crazy. Anyway I hope this helps and let me know how the size you choose works out.

thanks man, it was a big help. I figured they would fit I just wanted to make sure that since it is a wider tire than the ones I have now it would still fit my rims. I didn't realize that those are not the right size tires in the first place. I'm probably going to have in done within the next few months and when its done ill post a pic and tell you how it goes. Anyway Thanks again.
