It's less Tacoma and more mod
Meh, when the prices go up, I just bring out the econobeater (94 Corolla). When they go back down I bring out the land cruiser and Tacoma... Gotta be flexible these days.

2008 was a magical year. Gas prices skyrocketed, housing bubble fucked everyone over, and nobody wanted a pickup. I bought a 2008 Dodge for 15k right before Chrysler decided to fold half the dealerships in town. I walked away with it after plunking 11k cash and a beat to shit Frontier as my trade. 90 dollar fill-ups didn't hurt so bad then.

2022 is a magical year too. Gas is skyrocketing, housing is skyrocketing again, property tax is about to fuck everyone over, and you can't find a pickup anywhere in town that's going for MSRP.

Maybe 2023 will be a good time to buy.

A little bit of this, and a little bit of that.
If it was possible, I'd ride mine year-round, but where I'm located, I only get about 4-5 months of ridable weather a year... as I'm typing this, it has snowed 5 inches in the last 4 hours...

One of the biggest issues is many people don't have a place to plug in at home or work. Plus, you really need 220V since 120V will take all day to fully charge.

lol careful around here talking like that. These pseudo-intellectual discount Dave Ramseys are going to tell you those trucking companies should have budgeted for this! Oh a once-in-a-lifetime pandemic? Housing crisis? Historic inflation? Skyrocketing fuel costs? Potential WW3? You’ve got to budget for these everyday things!

We import oil, not gasoline. Nearly all gasoline sold in the US is refined here.

That's it. And he's 91 years old and won't give up the car, so we only let him wash it. Gets incredible mpg now.

The two smoker stink. Not a lot better in this world than the smell of that at 6am on a powder day!! If my girl wouldn't hate me forever, I'd bottle it and use it as literal cologne!

Still a big issue. Soon to be resolved. Many incentives and rebates for Condos, apartments, and Townhomes from the state of NJ to install chargers but they just aren't doing it yet.
