Are you worried about towing? The Tacoma is a very capable tow rig within it's rated capacities. I tow a boat all the time. GVW on the boat is roughly 4700lbs.

Never towed anything but it's there if I need it...and wouldn't hesitate.

Pulled plenty of trees out of the ground, yanked vehicles out of ditches, and definitely loaded the bed many many times!

I always get the full tow package......

Nope not worried about towing with it - just curious how many owners use it to tow as now it seems Tow Packages are optional in some markets on the Tacoma.

I have never needed to tow with my 2009 even though it is plenty capable I am sure.

I tow two atv's. Can't even feel them. I'd tow any day over putting my quad in the bed.

I did tow once so far. I rented skid steer with trailer from Home depot for backyard landscaping. About 4600 pounds.

Just returned from a 2-month, 8,600 mile road trip: Seattle-Boston & back. Pulled a 2,400# enclosed trailer carrying a 2,400# antique car. Except for the mileage drop to about 12mpg and the cruise wanting to excessively downshift at the slightest rise (and then over-run the set mileage at the other end), my 2014 DCLB was great! I just learned to take it out of cruise at uphill rises, just like taking it out of OD if she started to seek. Helps keep you alert.
    .
I did talk to a dealer about a computer adjustment for the cruise under load, but the guy just looked at me like I was speaking a foreign language.

Towing is half the reason I bought a truck, the other half was a pickup bed

I used my 2004 Tacoma to move from Texas to DC and pulled a large U-haul loaded down with all my crap. She did well minus the poor gas mileage!

Moved from AZ to OR. Had my double bay Matco tool box and household goods in the bed, my '40 Chrysler filled with more household stuff, tools, and top box on my double axle trailer. Did well, even passed some fords going uphill.

Most I've pulled on a trailer was about 3,400 lbs.
Most I've pulled off a trailer was a 2 wheel drive diesel up a hill small muddy hill.
I used 4 Lo and had no problems.

No idea on the weight of the few trees I pulled. Maybe 1,200 lbs ?

It goes my two - three seater Seadoos just fine. Though, they only weigh 850lbs a piece when empty. With the trailer, it's probably only a 2500lbs load.

Just once; 6x12 Uhaul double axle; total 4k pounds of daughters 1 bedroom apt. Actually the truck drove BETTER than it does empty; it likes towing!!. Only about 200 miles.
Tho hated getting hammered at toll booths for those extra axles.

I tow this trailer with 2 heavy sleds in it somewhere around 4-5000 miles every winter. Might be around 2200 lbs when it's also stuffed with my ice fishing gear.

In the summer I pull a light fishing boat all the time. Thousands upon thousands of miles a year.
