Tacoma Towing Mirrors mod.

Hi everyone, Question? I'm fixing to tow on my Tacoma a travel trailer and would like to change my factory side mirrors to a different design. I see different types of mirrors that extend outward to better view the sides of the trailer and liking the Gen 2 style mirror. due to cost $$. So, the question is can I retrofit the Gen 2 new set to a Gen 3 door panel. will it connect well. The only thing my truck has is defrost and adjustment nothing else. Can anyone recommend some.

I bought a set that straps onto my existing mirror for towing, and then comes back off afterwards. You can find a bunch of different options on Amazon. They work great, were cheap and save your truck from looking funky when you're not towing.
