Any thoughts on a few different things:

    • Car cover to protect from sap and when not garaged
    • Ceramic paint protection
    • Rhino lining (or similar) for the undercarriage?

    • Clean out your garage
    • Garage it at night, every night
    • Regular wash and wax routine
    • Ignore all that other stuff

Covers have their place but for regular use run the risk of scratching the paint from the constant on/off

Ceramic paint protection is pretty nice. I recommend you do it yourself. If the truck is new and the paint is as shinny as you ever want then you can just have the ceramic applied and not pay for the buffing and polishing steps.

Linings on the underside will cause your truck to rust out worse. Use a rust prevention film (not a paint or anything paint like) such as Cosmoline, CRC, Fluid Film, Wool Wax, Crown, etc.

    Don’t listen to these guys.

The Tacoma TRD Pro needs special protection unlike all the other infidels with their Non Pros.

First, get ceramic coating done at your local Lamborghini dealership. The contours and sharp angles are just like the TRD Pro so they will know how to handle it.

Second, cover it in the finest silk cloth you can find. This helps it from collecting dust underneath the car cover. Etsy has some special hand made for the Tacoma Pro.

Third, Rhino lining the undercarriage is too beastly. Have them ceramic coat it as well along with a Brazilian Wax underneath.

    Oh look, another mod....

Don't forget, he can ONLY run the engine on 109 Octane. That 93 premium stuff won't do. Oh, and make sure you give it a kiss good night every single night. If you don't, your Tacoma will feel your 'micro' aggression towards it and it won't end well, trust me.

This lol, now i understand how the lesser peasant owners feel every time a PRO owner posts and needs to finesse its a pro, not a OR/Sport model so it's completely different....

I have parked my truck outside under a oak tree for the past 4 years. I have no dents, no scratches, no rust, no sap damage, nothing.
The only thing I do is wash the truck regularly, fluid film it, I only put a cover on when there is possible hail in the forecast (I put moving blankets over the truck, then the cover over that), and I am smart about where I park in parking lots.

A little extra attention will go way further than bubble wrapping the truck when its outside.

Dust and dirt get under the cover, and then act as an abrasive when the wind shifts the cover around. This is not just when you take the cover on/off.

Another problem is condensation being trapped under the cover.

So you end up scratching the paint, and promoting rust.

You're better off without a cover.
