Anybody planning on ditching the stock tires for 265/75r16 tires? Any issues expected with the offset of the TRD wheel? Thanks

I'm not. Stock Wranglers will be fine for my purposes...no rock climbing, only light off-roading. When I change them, probably going with stock-size KO2's. Concerned about the offset. Don't want an weird ride.

It's raining so I'm not going to go out and check but I'm pretty sure the stock size is 265/75/16.

You think the offset might make one size up tires rub?

Yep, 70's. Saw where a dude on Facebook said he put 285/75's on his and they didn't rub.

Yeah I would think the 1" lift and the offset would only help. Since 265/75r16 don't rub on a stock Tacoma don't see why they would be any different on the Pro

I think it will be a slight issue when I put 255/85/16's on. I might be able to drive around town until I chop the cab mount though. It will likely be the only mod I do to my pro ... I hope.

Is anybody running 265/75r16 with wheels similar to the TRD pro wheel with the 1/2" wider offset?

Do the 17" TRD pro wheels gave th same offset as the 16" one on the Tacoma TRD pro? If so I see a lot of guys running them. I'm assumed the 1/2" offset shouldn't be a big deal just want to hear from you guys before ditching the stock tires for one size up

No, it will not be a problem. I promise. I'll even put a paycheck on the fact it will be fine.

Edit: You may have to remove your front mud flaps but that will be it.

Haha ok thanks. I assume the 1/2 wider offset should be a big deal with going to a 1" taller tire. Just wanted some reassurance. I just can't deal with those stock tires on such a bad ass truck. First think I'll be doing is throwing some 265/75r16 Duratracs on that thing.

i am looking forward to seeing that. btw what's the problem with the stock tires? or is it just going for the Duratracs?

Stocks are probably fine. I'm just coming from a 2nd gen with 2.5 lift and 285/75r16's so I just can't bring myself to drive around with 31" sort of offroad tires. Again it's probably more cosmetic for me more then anything. I mainly just drive on the beach in the sand so I'll take the taller tire I can get on there.

No worry's! I had 265/70r17 (same size) with aftermarket wheels that stick out 1.5" and don't have any rubbing issues.

    Wanted to revive this thread.
I purchased a TRD Pro and wanted to see if anyone else is running 265/75R16 BFG All-Terrains on their Pros. Just wanna make sure everything fits. I don't plan on lifting the truck.
Might have the dealer install them so they can re-program the TPMS sensors if needed.
