FYI, you should be able to use the new Android Auto interface. Open AA on your phone and under settings you should have the option. Change it and plug it.

 

I'm an iPhone user, will I be able to add Andoid Auto to the Dasaita unit I ordered? Also are you going to use a launcher?(I know nothing of Android). I see some ppl with the HU's using an app from the Google Play store called Head Unit Reloaded($5) to sort of retheme the UI of these units. Please educate me if you know about these launchers

 

Afaik, it is a license. Maybe they can sell it to you after the fact. I guess it can be activated via internet.

 

I've been looking at these replacement HUs and I have to ask... Does anyone miss the volume control knob?

I see that there are units with a knob, anyone have one?

 

...and if you get a unit that's damaged or DOA, I would think getting a replacement through Amazon would be a whole lot easier.

 

Hi, in my case I don't miss the volume knob. The power button is really a mute button. Yes there are units with knob check this thread.
In my experience with IYING the unit arrived in 3 days via DHL after 2 days of processing. So far all questions I have asked had been answered( it is a 12 hours difference), it requires some patience. On the bright side now there's info at this and other posts.

In case of DOA, I can only guess that they either send you a new unit or all the parts to fix the unit.

In my experience so far so good and I initially purchased based on price, again I am extremely happy with the unit.

Finally there are options choose the one fit's you better. Any other questions feel free to ask.

 

How do you pick that? is it in the settings on the head unit?

 

Any effect to the pitch roll dash readouts?

 

For IYING:
Yes, Settings->Factory->(Pass 3368) in my case->Car Model->Choose Camry or Toyota Else .

Other should be similar.

 

I believe it’s OR & Pro only. Mine is TRD Sport so no inclinometer/pitch roll. Anyone with TRD OR?

 

Sorry, forgot yours is a sport. Correct for OR/PRO model.

Nope. Mine does but I am using Headunit Reloaded.
