Tacoma Tube Rail Modification

    I recently purchased a 2012 Tacoma 4x4 Regular Cab and installed a set of Tube Step Running Boards and made a modification that enhances their appearance and functionality. I purchased 2 – 6” x 24” 3M Safety-Walk Slip-Resistant Conformable treads from http://www.kofflersales.com/product.asp?cid=858&pid=1501 and made templates from poster board to insure the right fit when I made the 3M Safety-Walk cutouts. I cleaned the tubes with alcohol and simply used a roller to apply them.

    I like it! Much better than without. I also like how you're utilizing your TW tools. Photo gallery with written descriptions and posting links instead of a ton of attachments. That's sweet. Great job on the step work.

    I used the same stuff on my sliders. It holds up REALLY well to the elements, and even rocks/trees scraping against it.
