I’m not sure how much I believe that since Toyota has a stock pile for times like these

They just put 0% for 48 months on the Tacoma in my area. They don’t do that every day.

I think there are several threads on this.

either way, I already have mine so I’m safe.

Judging by Toyota’s stock price, nobody is expecting a major shortage in vehicle deliveries.

I got $1000 off MSRP on a TRD ORP 4Runner and I am happy. Now just to wait for it to arrive.

The only shortages are the color and options on each truck but they are out there. Took my buddy who’s a finance manager a couple days to find the color and options I wanted.

Yeah I'm good too. My dealer told me that a new Tacoma won't do anything my older one won't ,other than cost more. (At least the options I care about).

I did a build and price on the toyota website for my truck which I purchased in January. Prices have definitely increased.

In the process of trying to trade in my 20+k mile 19 DCLB for a 4Runner actually.

It's laughable how little stock dealers have for both tacos and 4R right now. Tundra are non existant.

Contacted 73 dealers and spent the last 2 days talking to the vast majority of them.

Bought my truck for 33+tax, so far have offers for 36k for it, but I'm only able to get 6% off Msrp for a 4R.

First dealer that gives me that disciunt And 36k for my truck gets the sale lol. Would love to go to a new model year for 2k out of pocket.

Otherwise I'll try again in 6 months.

Might have to pay a shop to take my sliders/skidplates off though, can't seem to find anyone around Seattle with a lift.

Just placed an order for mine and was able to get under MSRP by a good bit. Read an article this morning that about Toyota and their approach to the chip issues. Looks like they may have prepared better than the others.

Lol it's because the new Tundra is coming out in a few months. Toyota has been stockpiling chips for years and they have no shortage... unlike Nissan and most others.
A simple google search will tell you the story.

I know someone at a dealership that said Tundras have been temporarily removed from the factory employee purchase list. He said that's only done when inventory is low or expected to be low.

I also know Toyota had a nearly 2 week interruption in production at most of it's North American plants recently due to part shortages. That's bound to effect inventory levels on several models
