If you drive it for a week and destroy the motor, is the warantee going to pay for a new motor?

2 ways to destroy the motor.

    1. Run it out of coolant and overheat til it seizes.
    2. After driving it and parking it, coolant pressure forces coolant into the cylinder, hydrolocks the motor and bends a rod the next time you start it.

Took the truck in yesterday, got it back today,it was a very bad leaking water pump, the fan was blowing the coolant all over the passenger side of the motor and lower part of the motor, the kicker for me was nothing ever leaked onto the ground that's what confused me about what the problem could be .Toyota replaced the pump under warranty ,so I am good too go.We will see for sure if that was the only problem after I drive it a few weeks.Oil is clean and clear.

Yeah that's great news good to hear it's wasn't the head gasket or overflow spewing problem!

Dealer said they only had 2 older Tacomas come in with head gasket problems, but both had over 250,000 miles on them.So I am still worried about my head gaskets since mine is a 2006

I now have a paper trail so that kind of helps me out if I do develop a gasket problems within a reasonable time period.

I was under impression you actually heard it bubbling and overflowing out of the reservoir. There's a video on here somewhere of one doing that, and it was the head gasket.

My water pump was leaking too at only 99k miles, but it was so gradual that the coolant evaporated as fast as it leaked, same with my Tundra that started leaking at 55k miles. Toyota seriously needs to improve their water pumps.
