the crappy thing is that when you still owe it like i do, and when you finish paying for it isn't worth what you paid for....but that's the way it goes... thats why im trying to enjoy my truck without thinking much in that....

I did it again. Got tired of paying truck payments and gas and traded in for a 2015 Honda Accord Sport since I enjoyed my 2013 Sport so much.
That's true, however it won't be that big of a burden if you do plan on keeping the truck for a decade or two.

Since I'm trying to get rid of my Mazda3, I'd like a high resell value (which is currently the case).

We pay a vehicle registration fee annually. It's $117.00 for the Tacoma. $41.00 for an ATV. $17.00 for trailers.
My property tax on a $130,000.00 home is about $1600.00 a year + $500.00 for municipal water / sewer.

^Yeah, forgot to mention the $469 is on a $150K home, just appraised this week.

Toyota's hold their value regardless. Look at it this way: If you owned a Ford, you'd be a lot worse off in resale value.

Forgot, we have a dog tax too. $10.00 per year per dog for tags.
    Is Wilson taxed? :)

Very interesting man, just to see those fluctuating prices makes me wonder how bad is the economy everywhere right now.... hope it stabilizes soon....

LOL! No license fees here. Just have to have your rabies tag.

That's part of the tag process here too. You have to show proof of a rabies shot.

    Back on topic;
I'll be putting my Tacoma up for sale this week. Gonna get an '08 or '09 TRD Sport.

^WOW, that's not bad at all. A 12 year old truck with that kind of value.

True but, as ridiculous as it sounds, NOW is the time to buy a Tundra, lol! My local dealer is practically giving them away.

Isn't your '96 on the frame recall list?

BS, they haven't heard of it. They might not have a clue but they've heard of the recall. :)
In a way it's too bad it isn't rusted. Toyota Canada and US are buying them back for 2-3 times what they are worth.

    KBB is still $16,125

    Interesting isn't it?

Edit: I have only put 3K on my truck since I got it. But I do have access to 4 cars so that helps keep my miles low.

Damn, I just looked up my F150 on KBB (XLT, 5.4L SuperCab). Trade in value is 14,650 (18,720 1 month ago) and private party is 19,620 (21,850 1 month ago). There goes my plan of getting a Tacoma in the next few months.
