If you're a costco member, they have an affiliate insurance company on their website that was pretty cheap last time I checked.

Allstate has to pay safe driving bonuses and it's probably with everyone's hiked premiums.

I always Toggle between Geico and Progressive. Seem to beat all others handily.

I have Allstate and pay $72 a month, my previous insurance Farmers wanted close to $130/month so I switched. I've heard of them raising rates for no reason, but I figure I'll see how it goes. Switching to someone else wouldn't be a big deal anyway.

Been meaning to check around on pricing, I currently have Allstate and they cover my home, 2 vehicles and our Motorhome. If I remeber correctly we pay $2,800 a year and both vehicles have full coverage and ZERO deductable.

We had a very difficult time finding an insurance company that would cover our home since it is located right next to a hill, which is a fire hazard. Anyhow Allstate was the only one we could find at the time and so we went with them.

Honestly at our ages (lets just say 30 something) and with our records, we have no accidents or tickets, I feel as though we should be paying less.

Although I think I pay entirely too much insurance (boat, home, car, truck, life, etc.) considering how few claims I've ever had, I just checked with my State Farm agent to let him know that I'll be trading my 2006 4-Runner in on a 2014 Tacoma 4X4 V6 and he told me that I'd be within $10 per month on the premiums. Like I said, I hate the thought of any premium increase but I guess that's not unreasonable given that the Taco will be 8 years newer.

for reference, I have our home on a separate policy, but with GEICO as well. For our autos, I just paid $730 for 6mos for 3 vehicles, with my tacoma being by far the most valued(means I have 2 beaters for the others :)) $1k deductible, zero accidents

My insurance actually dropped going form my 2000 Taco to my 2011 Taco. I saved $8 a month with the new truck. $62 a month with Alfa.

I have Allstate as well (for 29 years). I pay around $3100/year for full coverage on two vehicles (2007 Tacoma and 2013 Scion) (100/300/100, 100/300 uninsured/underinsured motorist, 250 comp/collision, no accidents/tickets) and the house ($1850 for the vehicles, 1250 for the house). They don't insure my house directly but I did get my house coverage from the Allstate agent through a company called Tower Insurance (I don't think they insure houses anymore for new customers in socal). I've checked around a little since viewing this thread. For my vehicles, Progressive would cost me more for the same coverage and Geico is slightly less.

For what its worth, I have a buddy who owns a body shop and he claims that State Farm is probably the easiest insurance company to deal with regarding claims. Like you said, I'm sure that all of them try to weasel out of paying claims at times but he says that State Farm takes care of their customers and the body shops better than most.

I switched to all state because it was cheaper than progressive, especially with homeowners added. It did go up a little when I went from a 4runner to a tacoma, but the tacoma is worth three times as much as my 4runner was, so it was expected. I did not have a good experience with USAA when one of their clients decided get drunk and t-bone me, but I have heard good things about them, I'm sure they are good to their own clients.
