    We have a 24 4r in underground.
    My wife loves it!
Keeps all the kids out of my taco.
Both will have their issues , but both have so much to offer and are very reliable and fun to drive.
So having both is the answer

Your right. You still need a truck. I still love my taco but man that 4runner is on a different level

We are the bottom feeder Toyota pickup. There's nothing below us in the brand.

The 4Runner has like five or six other SUVs below it and just one above it. Makes complete sense.

I had to get the windshield on my 2020 explorer replaced. I had to pay as much to have the front camera calibrated as I did for the glass.

Not really considering it's the only mid size pickup from Toyota. I get an Sr or sr5 wouldn't have all the stuff. But trd offroad for a TRD offroad should somewhat close. The taco doesn't have it as far as accessories. Hell even the fact the 4runner was built in Japan makes me feels better its made by people with more pride.

I don't see it that way, but that's okay.

You haven't been in a 70mph head on collision with a rock wall recently..

Sorry. I'm going to need to buy a clue on that one? But, no. I have not. :D

In general, I am more than impressed with the real world crash pics that get posted around here. Toyota seems to have done their homework there?

My buddy just got a 2024 4R, it's nice and does good in the snow. I don't like the dash layout, (4WD knob location). But whatever, I really like having my truck bed.

    haha.
Ok, you must have taken a brief respite from TW recently. :D
With that said, I'll let sleeping dogs lie on that one.

Yea, these trucks do well in an accident.
The main reason I traded in the wife's 4th gen Runner for the 5th, was to get a few more air bags and a little piece of mind when she's behind the wheel here in the mountains. Outside of denying her another 3" lift and 33's on the new truck, there's not much more I can do about the rollover rating..

Really? Off to check my owner's manual....

Up here in Canuckistan, it'd be a great feature!

I have been, unfortunately. Changed jobs last May and have been full throttle since. I miss this place.

I tried getting my wife interested in a 4Runner. We've had them as rentals. I enjoy them, but miss my Taco except for the roll down rear window. She misses her Forester.

Yup. PTC heater. I can immediately tell if the heat is not on the Max setting in the morning.

I 100% agree! I'd much rather have my wife's '23 T4R built in Japan alongside the Lexus GX than anywhere in Mexico or the US. Much higher standards.

After coming from Jeeps (6 of them all the way from a 45 MB to a 2013 JKRU) and Hondas (4 of them including a carberated Accord) including my wife's current ride, a 2013 CR-V, I'd love to get her into a T4R.
I'm not sure when she'll be ready, but after owning my 3rd Gem for a few years now, I'd love another Toyota in the family.
The CR-V has been a decent ride, save a few issues here and there the main one being the dreaded VTC actuator, which was replaced the year before last, but has now returned.
I'll be using it as a DD for my new job and it currently has 115k on it. I'm sure there is at least another 100k it it likely, as I'm sure she won't be ready for another vehicle until at least then unless something major happens between now and then.
I did see a black 5th gen Anniversary edition T4R on the local dealer lot a while back that looked super sweet.
