    it is great here -

things I learned - do not drive after 5pm - hotel rooms book quickly

buy cigarettes if you smoke - $15 in Canada

buy beer - beer is pricey too

I bought a refrigerator cooler, loaded on the basic - milk cold cuts etc

milepost is good but some of the stop have closed down - I took 2 5gl gas cans

Canada border patrol - be cool - the dickhead in front of me , gave the guy lip and searched all of his shit including trailer

I would not pull over 2500lbs next time , I did around 3700 lbs and that put my range at 260miles a tank.

Get the garmin from the bx/px that has Canada/us/mexico maps, it helps.

I applied for housing before I left fort knox (took 1.5 weeks to move in), I like I live it the qtrs. behind bx on the elmendorff side.

Some will argue to live off post but I am lazy and do not want to fight traffic.

Base is good, I am Army in a Air force assignment, so I am lucky. Cable and internet is great. XM satellite radio does not work here.

PM if you got any questions.
