Couldn't have said it better myself.

I'm thinking the same thing. I wanted to go high clearance back when I had the current bumper made but decided I didn't want to cut on the truck just yet. This will probably give me that push i needed.

Thanks man. I had my girlfriend with me. If I had been going just a little slower I know the outcome would have been a lot worse. I'm thankful it's just a dent and not a life lost.

how fast was he moving? Looks like he couldn't have been moving any more than 30mph or so judging by the damage.

Honestly I'm not even sure I just seen him at the last second out of my peripherals. He said he hit the brakes and skid some so who knows. I know inside the cab it wasn't a bad jar at all and I didn't fish tail or anything.

"IF" you did want to take the dents out, and not worry about the paint, you could get Paintless Dent on those for less than $90.

or some dry ice and rub it over the dent should pop it out.
we use this trick on motorcycle gas tanks. It won't crack the paint and it will look good as new.

not trying to jack the thread but does this work on small dints like quarter size dents.
