Aahhh...the only negative about the tacoma that I remember was the seating position being cramped and the Nissan was more comfortable. Whoooopie!!![/quote]

How far forward was that drivers seat, they must have had somebody in the back seat!

Nissan does have a bad ass bed rail tie down system. I have thought about mounting it on the Taco.

I have owned two Nissan Trucks, and I now own two Taco's. The Nissans, at least my experience, did not hold up like my oldest Tacoma.
They start falling apart too soon in my opinion, and are not as dependable. I don't think I would by another Nissan.

I thought the TACO was going to win, it sounded on top the whole way, except for the cramped interior??? Must of been a fat ass reviewing the inside!

I had an 86.5 Nissan Hard Body (my 1st vehicle) when they were first introduced. Standard truck but the SEV6 Model...total kick ass truck. Power everything and a moonroof to boot. Great all the way around. Then I had a 1998 Frontier fully loaded 4x4 king cab but only the 4cyl and it was still a very tough truck for the abuse I gave it. After I crashed my frontier I didn't like the new ones and the others were not an option. So I got an 03 Accord then an 04 Accord only to see the Tacoma come out late 04 as an 05 model. Couldnt resist the temptation in Dec of 05 so I got an 06. I also had a nissan 200SX as well. Loved Nissan, still do, but not all models. :D Same with Toyota.

I think Tacomas are far more spacious than Frontiers. This video is bullshit.

My thoughts exactly!!!!!!! It's an ugly truck, it's to low to the ground. It looks like it will drag over a speed bump :D

The Taco will hold its value.

I gave a good hard look at the Frontier, Ridgeline and Taco when I bought and I thought the Taco was well thought out. No extra options that you don't need, but everything you want.

I also have a feeling the Taco will outlast the Frontier.

I am happy with my purchase.

how the announcer talked and said how they handled it seemed that the Tacoma was better in everything except the space, they had more good points on the Taco: only one with a long bed, also that it did better in the sand the only thing was the turn/drift in the sand that seemed bad, the Taco is definitively bigger in the cabin than the Frontier

The only thing I can think of is that the comfy ride and roominess of the cab won them over. If I saw the entire tape without their ending comments I would have picked the Taco.

If that's so why do I see more Tacoma's on the road than Nissan's ? Two of my friends have owned a Nissan and they both had the same complaint. They had quiet a few electrical problems and after about 6-8 months, the trucks started falling apart cosmetically.

I would guess its because Thundras are a new platform, and Tacoma is based on the tried and true recipe of the hilux. I'm guessing tho like i said.

I work with a guy who bought a Frontier one month after I bought my truck in Aug. '07. Both 4dr V6's and "maroon" colors. Parked next to each other, there's no contest on which is "manlier" or just plan looks better, and I barely have any mods (he has none). I CONSTANTLY get comments about how much nicer my truck is than his. So far, 3 people have bought Tacoma's after asking to sit in mine and check it out, one bought the exact same color and configuration.

I don't know if any of that means a damn thing, but like the guy above said, phuck (I'm a father now, have to be PC) Nissan.

BTW, I traded in an '05 Altima 3.5SE for the Tacoma.

lol haters, i like both the trucks, i just opted for the frontier, simply because it was better for my needs at the time.

you guys do realize that the taco is lighter and would go over sand more nimbly than the frontier. and the equater (frontier) got truck off the year this past time.

both good trucks, its just the cats meow.
